Born 14th May 1986, the attacking midfielder was born at Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro.
Background
Marcinho started his career with Volta Redonda in 2004, where he spent 4 seasons without a single start.
Brasiliense signed him on loan to represent them in Serie B in 2008 and became an instant success as he scored 9 times in just 5 appearances.
He then made a free transfer to Noroeste where he again was restricted to the bench.
The move to Corinthians, one of the biggest club in Brazil showed signs of a potential talent but he failed to display his talents that he managed only 2 goals in 14 appearances that he made.
After just one season, Brasiliense signed him again as a free agent but wasn’t able to break into the Starting XI. Just 5 months since changing his club, he was on the move again but this time to the Japanese top-tier team Gyeongnam FC.
After another short spell of 8 appearances scoring 2 goals in the process, he returned to Brazil to play for Botafogo FC in 2011.
Club career

A Brief stint with Itumbiara followed by a move to Guaratinguetá gave a spark of hope but only to be put off again.
CSKA Sofia approached him for his signature and he adapted well to the Bulgarian club. He made a total of 29 appearances in 2013 and 2014 seasons with 22 appearances coming in the later year
. With most of the appearances were coming off the bench as he made only 4 starts in the second season, he left for Russian Premier League in the search of regular game time.
He made 61 appearances for the Ufa in the 3 seasons that he spent there starting from the 2014-15 season.
In 2016, Süper Lig side Gaziantepspor signed him on a free transfer and made 11 appearances scoring just a goal. The following year saw him move to Indian Super League side NorthEast United who signed a lot of new talents hoping for a change in fortunes after underperforming in first 3 seasons.
He made 15 appearances for the club in the group stage as he scored 4 goals but couldn’t prevent his side from finishing at the bottom of the table.
