Mina Shirakawa is a professional grappler and idol from Tokyo, Japan. Shirakawa is currently under contract with World Wonder Ring Stardom, where she co-leads Empress Nexus Venus and holds the title of Artist of Stardom Champion alongside Maika and Xena. She has also showcased her wrestling prowess in various prominent wrestling promotions such as New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), Ring of Honor (ROH), and All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Her moveset includes a Modified Cradle Pin called “Glamorous Collection MINA,” the “Figure Four Driver Mina,” and a High-Angle Reverse DDT named the “Glamorous Driver MINA.”

Mina Shirakawa’s Early Life

Shirakawa began her career as a gravure model in Japan at the age of twenty, adopting the nickname "the Fighting H-Cup Gravure Wrestler.” Later, she graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University with a degree in English and American Literature and started working as a wedding planner.

In 2013, she started a singing career and became a gravure idol and tarento. She has also worked as a cheerleader in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil as part of the cheering unit Amazones. In April 2018, she joined the Best Body Japan Pro-Wrestling dojo, ending her modelling career in August 2018 to focus on wrestling, inspired by Jushin Thunder Liger.

Mina Shirakawa's Professional Wrestling Career

Independent Wrestling Promotions

Mina Shirakawa entered professional wrestling at Best Body Japan Pro-Wrestling (BBJ) on August 5, 2018, teaming with Shoko Nakajima but lost to Reika Saiki and Hoshimi Muramatsu. She continued at BBJ Muscle Ring 2 on October 18, where she was defeated by Cherry. Her final BBJ appearance was on December 19, 2019, where she lost the BBW Women's Championship to Erina Yamanaka.

At DDT Pro-Wrestling's Ryōgoku Peter Pan 2018 on October 21, Shirakawa partnered with Miyu Yamashita and Yuki Kamifuku in a losing effort against Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki, and Shoko Nakajima. Later, on November 4, 2018, she joined Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (TJPW) alongside her teammate Reika Saiki, where they suffered a defeat against Maki Itoh and Shoko Nakajima. She left TJPW after two years when her contract ended.

World Wonder Ring Stardom (2020–present)

The Cosmic Angels Stable

Mina Shirakawa joined Stardom on October 4, 2020. She teamed up with Tam Nakano to form the Cosmic Angels stable, which was eventually joined by Unagi Sayaka. The trio cemented their early presence by securing the Artist of Stardom Championship on December 16, 2020. Shirakawa won the Future of Stardom Championship on July 4, 2021, but lost it to Sayaka just 13 days later. She also participated in the 2021 Cinderella Tournament and the Stardom 5 Star Grand Prix, accumulating six points in the latter.

In 2021, Shirakawa and Nakano, under "Dream H," competed in the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League, scoring three points in the Blue Goddess Block. Shirakawa unsuccessfully challenged Nakano for the Wonder of Stardom Championship at Tokyo Super Wars and participated in the ¥10 Million Unit tournament at Osaka Super Wars. In 2022, Shirakawa was defeated by Thekla for the vacant SWA World Championship at Stardom Nagoya Supreme Fight. She also competed in the 2022 Five Star GP, finishing with five wins and seven losses in the Blue Stars block.

The Empress Nexus Venus Stable

Mina Shirakawa initially formed Club Venus with Mariah May and Xia Brookside on December 29, 2022, at Dream Queendom 2, splitting from Cosmic Angels after the 2023 Cinderella Tournament. During her tenure, Shirakawa briefly held the Wonder of Stardom Championship before losing it to Tam Nakano on May 27, 2023. She has also secured the Goddesses of Stardom Championship once with her tag partner Mariah May (Rose Gold). On January 20, 2024, Shirakawa reformed Club Venus with Hanako, Maika, Waka Tsukiyama, and Xena into Empress Nexus Venus, and on March 30, the trio clinched the Artist of Stardom Championship.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling (2022,2024)

Shirakawa made her NJPW debut on October 18, 2022, at Rumble on 44th Street with Waka Tsukiyama, however they were defeated by Kylie Rae and Tiara James. She returned on February 23, 2024, at New Beginning Sapporo Night 1, where she tried to dethrone Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Championship but failed.

Ring of Honor (2024)

On the March 21, 2024, episode of Ring of Honor, Shirakawa made her debut in a high-stakes main event clash against Anna Jay and secured a standout victory in her inaugural match for the promotion.

All Elite Wrestling (2024-Present)

Mina Shirakawa marked her inaugural appearance in All Elite Wrestling during the April 11, 2024 episode of Dynamite, intervening to rescue Mariah May from an assault by Anna Jay. In her debut match, Shirakawa triumphed over Anna Jay. The rivalry escalated when, at Stardom's June 2 event "Timeless," Toni Storm and Mariah May issued a challenge to Shirakawa for a showdown at Forbidden Door. Shirakawa agreed to the challenge by signing the contract on the June 5th episode of Dynamite, and the match was officially confirmed for the AEW Women's World Championship against Toni Storm at AEW Forbidden Door on Sunday, June 30, 2024.
