Moose: A Brief Biography

Moose is a professional wrestler from the United States. The former NFL football player and the leader of the "The System" stable is performing in TNA and appeared in NXT as well. The TNA X Division Champion previously performed in promotions like ROH, NJPW, etc. The inaugural TNA World Heavyweight Champion held titles like the TNA World Championship (two times) and Impact Grand Championship (two times). Moose additionally won TNA Joker's Wild (2017), Call Your Shot Gauntlet (2021), and Feast or Fired (2018, 2023).
Early Life
Moose was a student at DeMatha Catholic High School which is based in Hyattsville, Maryland. He won the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship in his senior year. Moose earned All-Prince George’s County offensive lineman honors following his team's 11-0 season. He later attended Syracuse University and played 44 games in four years. He also participated in the Las Vegas All-American Classic in 2006. He played professional football for the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, St. Louis Rams, and Indianapolis Colts.
Professional Wrestling Career

Initial Days (2012-2014)
Moose began his wrestling training in 2012 under Mr. Hughes at WWA4 and later attended WWE training camps. He debuted for Dragon Gate USA in 2014 as a bodyguard for the Bravado Brothers and joined Global Force Wrestling in 2015. He was also under contract with ROH during that period.
ROH (2014-2016)
Moose signed with ROH in 2014 and aligned with R.D. Evans and Veda Scott. Later, he teamed up with Prince Nana and Stokely Hathaway. He had notable wins over R.D. Evans and Mark Briscoe but his undefeated streak ended in 2015 and left ROH in July 2016.
NJPW (2015-2016, 2021)
Moose first performed for NJPW from 2015 to 2016. He also made an appearance at the NJPW Resurgence PPV event in 2021, losing to Tomohiro Ishii. He went on to beat Juice Robinson at the event of Battle in the Valley in 2021.
TNA
Debut and Grand Champion (2016-2017)
Moose made his TNA debut in 2016 at Destination X, aligning with Mike Bennett and Maria before turning face by attacking Bennett later that year. He defeated Bennett at Bound for Glory and later won the Impact Grand Championship from Aron Rex, successfully defending it against Rex and Mike Bennett before losing it to Drew Galloway in early 2017.
Moose regained the title from Galloway in March and defended it against Cody before eventually losing it to Ethan Carter III in August. During his reign, he also defended the championship against Eli Drake and Naomichi Marufuji while feuding with Lashley for the Impact World Heavyweight Championship but was unsuccessful. At Slammiversary XV, he teamed with NFL star DeAngelo Williams to defeat Chris Adonis and Drake.
Various Feuds (2017-2020)
In 2017, Moose feuded with Lashley and the American Top Team. He teamed with Stephan Bonnar at Bound for Glory but lost to Lashley and King Mo in a Six Sides of Steel match. He later allied with James Storm before finally defeating Lashley at Genesis. This led to Lashley turning face and attacking Dan Lambert alongside Moose. In 2018, Moose won a Feast or Fired match, securing a World Championship contract but later lost it to Eli Drake.
He became the number one contender for the Impact World Championship and challenged Austin Aries at Slammiversary XVI but was defeated. Later that year, Moose turned heel by aligning with Aries and Killer Kross. He was involved in a feud with Eddie Edwards that culminated in a loss at Homecoming. In 2019, Moose feuded with The Rascalz and teamed with The North before moving on to face ECW legends. He defeated Rob Van Dam at Slammiversary XVII and Ken Shamrock at Bound for Glory.
TNA World Heavyweight Title (2020–2021)

In 2020, Moose declared himself the TNA World Champion after defeating Hernandez and Michael Elgin. He defended the title unofficially against several challengers before beating Tommy Dreamer at Slammiversary. He later feuded with EC3, who stole his title, but Moose reclaimed it after winning their match at Bound for Glory.
In 2021, Impact officially sanctioned Moose's TNA Championship, and he defended it against Jake Something. He earned a shot at the Impact World Championship but lost it to Rich Swann at Sacrifice. He later won a six-way match to challenge Kenny Omega but lost due to interference from The Young Bucks and was defeated by Chris Sabin at Slammiversary.
World Championship (2021–2023)
In 2021, Moose aligned with W. Morrissey to feud with Eddie Edwards, culminating in a victory at Victory Road and an attack on Edwards' wife, Alisha. At Bound for Glory, Moose won the Call Your Shot Gauntlet and immediately cashed in to defeat Josh Alexander for the Impact World Championship. He successfully defended against Eddie Edwards, Matt Cardona, W. Morrissey, and Heath. In 2022, Josh Alexander returned and defeated Moose for the title at Rebellion, ending his 182-day reign.
Moose then feuded with Sami Callihan, losing a Monster’s Ball match at Slammiversary but later defeating Callihan in a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match. Later in the year, he participated in multiple matches, including a three-way Barbed Wire Massacre at Victory Road and the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound for Glory, before losing to Bully Ray in a table match at OverDrive. In 2023, he unsuccessfully challenged Joe Hendry for the Digital Media Championship. Moose later lost matches to Jeff Cobb, Team Dreamer in a Hardcore War, and Subculture in an Impact World Tag Team Championship match at Slammiversary.
The System (2023–present)
In 2023, Moose won a Feast or Fired match and later cashed in to defeat Alex Shelley for the newly renamed TNA World Championship at Hard to Kill. He formed a team named "The System" along with Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, DeAngelo Williams, and Brian Myers. Moose successfully defended the title against Eric Young, Nic Nemeth, and Matt Hardy. He lost it to Nemeth in a six-way elimination match at Slammiversary, ending his second reign at 189 days. Moose failed to regain the title from Nemeth at Emergence and later lost to Mike Santana at Bound for Glory. In late 2024, he defeated "Speedball" Mike Bailey to win the TNA X Division Championship for the first time. He successfully defended it against Laredo Kid, Kushida, and Ace Austin at Genesis.
WWE (2025)
In 2025, Moose made his WWE debut on NXT. He challenged NXT Champion Oba Femi and later agreed to defend his TNA X Division Championship against Lexis King. He successfully did so on the February 25 episode. Following his victory, Femi challenged Moose to an NXT Championship match at Roadblock.
