Madara Palliyalil Jabir - Early Life, Family & Background
MP Jabir got his first career in 2014 when he won the gold medal in 400m Hurdles at the Indian Junior Athletics Championships in Vijayawada, Hyderabad. The following year, he clinched the 400m Hurdles gold at the Federation Cup Junior Athletics Championships in Hyderabad.
Madara Palliyalil Jabir Achievements
In 2017, MP Jabir won his first international medal by taking home a bronze with a timing of 50.22 seconds at the Asian Athletics Championships. At the 2018 Indian Open Championships, he won the silver medal by clocking 50.02 seconds. The following year, MP Jabir again won bronze at the Asian Championships.
MP Jabir competed at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar, where he finished 5th in the semi-final of 400m Hurdles. That year, he clinched a gold medal and a silver in 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay respectively at the South Asian Games in Kathmandu, Nepal.
In June 2021, MP Jabir won gold medals in 400m hurdles at the Indian Grand Prix 4 and National Inter-State Athletics Championships.
MP Jabir has qualified for his debut Olympics at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics based on Road to Tokyo rankings of 33.
