Oliver James Bearman is a British racing driver who competes in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for Prema and is a reserve driver in Formula One for Ferrari and Haas. Oliver has been a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy since 2022 and made his debut in Formula One at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Gand Prix, substituting for Carlos Sainz Jr. Oliver is set to compete for Haas alongside teammate Esteban Ocon in the Formula One World Championship from 2025.

Oliver Bearman’s Early Life
Oliver started karting at age seven and won national and continental championships. In 2020, he moved to junior formulae and won the 2021 Italian F4 Championship and the ADAC F4 Championship the same year. Oliver’s consistent performance saw him graduating to Formula 3 in 2022 where he finished third in his rookie season. In 2023, Oliver progressed to the Formula 2 Championship, winning six times.
After being named as one of the finalists of the Ferrari Driver Academy’s Scouting World Final in October 2021, Bearman was shortly confirmed to join the academy. His first Formula One car experience came when he tested for Ferrari at Fiorano. His free practice debut came at the 2023 Mexico City Grand Prix with the Haas F1 Team. On January 27, 2024, Bearman was confirmed as Ferrari’s and Team Haas’ reserve driver for the 2024 season. Oliver is set to compete for Haas alongside teammate Esteban Ocon in the Formula One World Championship from 2025.

Oliver was born on 8 May 2005 in Havering, London. He grew up in Chelmsford, Essex, where he attended King Edward VI Grammar School and left at 16 to join the Ferrari Driver Academy in Modena, Italy. In an interview, Oliver stated that besides racing, he likes to enjoy spending time with his family, going on bike rides, and is fond of being active outdoors. Oliver also stated that he is very fond of animals and tries to support animal rights initiatives whenever he can.
