Vaquer began her professional wrestling career in Chile, training under Paul Slandering and making her debut in February 2009. Her earliest documented matches were in August 2010 as Dark Angel. She debuted in Mexico on December 22, 2013, against Heroína at Arena Coliseo Coacalco. In Mexico, she trained under Ricky Marvin, Último Guerrero, Gran Apache, and Villano IV.
Other International Wrestling Federations
In 2018, Vaquer debuted in Japan with the women's promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom, competing in five matches over three weeks between July and August, including a title match. That year, she also attended a WWE try-out held in her native Chile.
Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (2019–2024)
Vaquer started with CMLL in Mexico in August 2019, becoming their first female South American wrestler. Initially, she made guest appearances in numerous wrestling federations in Mexico, Chile, and Japan until she decided to join CMLL on a full-time basis. In 2023, she teamed with Zeuxis to win the Occidente Women's Tag Team Championship and later the CMLL World Women's Tag Team Championship. She also won the vacant CMLL World Women's Championship on September 29.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling (2023–2024)
In April 2023, NJPW announced Vaquer would compete for CMLL in the Strong Women's Championship tournament at Resurgence on May 21, where she reached the semifinals. Later in 2023, she challenged Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women's Championship but did not win. In March 2024, Vaquer won the Strong Women's Championship at World Wonder Ring Stardom's Cinderella Tournament. She defended the title successfully against AZM in April and Alex Windsor in May 2024 at Resurgence.
All Elite Wrestling (2024)
Vaquer debuted in AEW by confronting the new TBS Champion, Mercedes Moné (Sasha Banks), after Moné's title defence against Skye Blue on the May 29, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite. Vaquer stood on the ramp, staring down Moné while holding up the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship. Both are scheduled to face each other in a title vs. title match at AEW Forbidden Door on Sunday, June 30, 2024.
WWE (2024 - Present)
On July 10, 2024, Shawn Michaels announced that Stephanie Vaquer had officially signed with WWE. She made her in-ring debut at a live event in Mexico City on July 13, defeating Isla Dawn, and later joined the NXT brand. Vaquer appeared via satellite on the September 24 episode of NXT, declaring her intention to challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship, turning face for the first time.
On October 8, during Week 2 of NXT’s CW premiere, Vaquer aligned with Giulia to attack Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. She made her televised in-ring debut on October 15, defeating Wren Sinclair. After being ambushed by Perez and Jade, Giulia made the save, leading to a tag match at Halloween Havoc, which Vaquer and Giulia won with Vaquer pinning Perez.
At NXT Deadline on December 7, Vaquer competed in the Iron Survivor Challenge but was unsuccessful. On January 7, 2025, at NXT: New Year’s Evil, she won a fatal four-way match against Lola Vice, Cora Jade, and Kelani Jordan to become the number one contender for the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
