Teahna Daniels: A Brief Biography
Teahna Daniels is an American Sprinter born on 25th March 1997. She is a native of Orlando city of Florida in the United States. Teahna is a sprint specialist and represents the USA in 100m Sprints.
Background:
Teahna Daniels was born to Late Wellice Daniels and Linda Daniels. She was born and raised in Orlando City in Florida. She has seven siblings, Latonya, Dredhna, Ayana, Marcus Keith, John, and Eric.
Teahna pursued her athletics interest while at high school. She attended The First Academy, where she became a popular high school athlete with four 100m titles at the FHSAA State Championships and a 60m title at the 2015 New Balance Indoor Nationals.
In 2015, after graduating from high school, Teahna enrolled at the University of Texas in Austin and became a member of the athletics team Texas Longhorns, whom she had represented at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships (2016-2019).
In 2019, Teahna Daniel acquired a degree in Youth and Community Studies from the University of Texas.
Rise to Glory:
Teahna Daniels received her first career break in 2014 when she won her first national medal by winning Bronze in 100m Sprints, while she finished 6th in 200m Sprints at the US Junior Track and Field Championships.
At the 2015 US Junior Athletics Championships, Teahna took home her first national title in 100m Sprints. The following year, Teahna won her first NCAA title in 60m Sprints while representing Texas Longhorns at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
In 2017, Teahna won her first NCAA Outdoor medal by winning Bronze in 100m Sprints at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. At the 2018 USATF Indoor Championships, she made it to the senior national podium with a Bronze medal in 60m Sprints.
In 2019, Teahna Daniels bagged two Silver medals in 100m and 200m Sprints at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. That year, in July, she clinched her first senior national 100m title at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, followed by 100m title at the NACAC U23 Athletics Championships.
Major Achievements:
Teahna Daniels received her first international break in 2014 when she won the Gold medal in the 4x100m Relay at the World Junior Athletics Championships. The following year, she won the Gold medal and a Bronze in 4x100m Relay and 100m Sprints respectively at the Pan American Junior Athletics Championships.
Teahna made her professional international debut at the 2019 World Athletics Championships, where she helped her US relay to make it to the podium with a Bronze medal in the 4x100m Relay, while Teahna finished 7th in 100m Sprints.
Teahna Daniels is looking to make it to the US Olympic Team for her debut Olympics at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics via US Olympic Trials and shall be in contention to medal in 100m Sprints.
