Viktor Lorincz: A Brief Biography
Viktor Lorincz is a Hungarian wrestler born on 28th April 1990. He hails from the Cegled city in Pest County, Hungary. Viktor specializes in Greco-Roman wrestling and represents his country in the 87 kg category.
Viktor received his first international breakthrough in 2007 when he won the Bronze medal in the Greco-Roman 76 kg category at the European Cadet Wrestling Championships. In 2010, he clinched the Gold medal in the 74 kg category at the European Junior Wrestling Championships. That year, he competed at the World Junior Championships and finished 21st in the 74 kg category.
In 2012, Viktor took home the Bronze medal in the 84 kg category at the European Wrestling Championships. He would go on to win the European title in the 85 kg category (2017) and a Silver medal in the 87 kg category (2020). At the World Wrestling Championships, Viktor had won a Silver medal (2019 in 87 kg) and two Bronze medals in 2013 (84 kg) and 2014 (85 kg).
Viktor Lorincz qualified for his debut Olympics at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and will compete in the 87 kg Greco-Roman category.
