Vladimir Weiss: A Brief Biography
Vladimír Weiss is a Slovak football winger who currently plays for Serie A club Pescara. Weiss started of with Manchester City. He made his first team debut on 24 May 2009 substituting for Stephen Ireland against Bolton Wanderers. He scored his first senior goal, as a substitute, on 2 December 2009, in a 3–0 League Cup win over Arsenal. Shortly after, he signed a new contract that kept him in the club until the end of 2012. Weiss joined Bolton Wanderers on loan in january 2010 and was a substitute for the most part of the time. In August, Weiss was again transferred on loan to Rangers until the end of the 2010–11 season. He scored his first goal for Rangers in a 4–1 home win against Motherwell and five days later made his Champions League debut against Valencia. On 26 December 2010, Weiss gave a \'Man of the Match\' performance scoring the third goal in a 4-1 SPL victory over Motherwell at Fir Park. In 2011 he was agin away on laon to Espanyol where he scored a particulary spectacular goal from outside the penalty area in a 3-3 draw away at Athletic Bilbao. On 2 August 2012, Serie A Pescara bought Vladimir Weiss from Manchester City with the player signing a one year contract with the option for an extension.
