To do so, you first need to go through a couple of steps.

One of these steps requires you to craft the recipe for evolution. Both steps can be completed via the Evolve and Craft Portals. To reach here, simply go straight once you spawn and head towards the Summon area. Here, take a right and check out the two portal options.
You generally need to craft specific items that are used for evolving your unit. These require you first to collect Rainbow, Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green Rift Stars sometimes alongside specific recipe materials.
