Barbie DreamHouse Tycoon is about building your very own Dreamhouse using tycoon-style tools. Being a Barbie game, the experience includes a myriad of other elements that enhance the roleplaying experience, two of which are Pets and Horses. Both these elements can be purchased from the respective menus in the game.

Pets are companions that follow you around in the overworld as you explore the map. These are completely for novelty and do not affect the gameplay, but they can enhance the roleplaying aspect of the game.

Currently, the game features 11 unique Pets, which can be bought using Charms, one of the two main currencies of the game, or Robux. Pets obtained using Robux are strictly premium and cannot be bought through other means.
