Domain Expansion in Sorcery is an end-game ability that can help you take out stronger enemies. Like several other features in this game, the Domain Expansion technique is locked and requires you to gain a significant amount of experience before you can obtain it. For the amount of grinding you have to do to access this ability, the powers are worth it.

This article explains how to get and use Domain Expansion in Sorcery. Moreover, we've also included a list of all variants of the ability in this title.

How to unlock Domain Expansion in Sorcery

To unlock a Domain Expansion, you need to use the Meditation ability in the Void area. Do not confuse it with the Meditate emote, which you can utilize by holding the "K" button. For a better understanding of how to unlock Domain Expansion, you can follow the steps mentioned below:

1) Unlock Meditation ability

There is no mission or item that you need to consume to unlock Meditation. Instead, it becomes accessible randomly when you reach around level 140. For some players, it was unlocked when they reached level 125. You can press the "M" key on the keyboard to confirm if the Meditation ability is unlocked or not.

Get a Void Key

Once you have unlocked Meditation, you need another item called the Void Key, which is used to open the gate to the Void. There's a random chance that you will unlock the by completing missions. It has a very low drop rate, so you might have to accomplish them multiple times before you get the item.

Enter the Void

After obtaining the Void Key, head to the Open-World area and find the "Teleport Back" wall. Now, take a right turn and walk straight until you find a locked gate. You can use the Void key to open and walk through it. Once on the other side, walk through the passage until you find a platform held by thick chains. This is actually an elevator that can be activated by interacting with a lever next to it.

Use the elevator to go down to a snowy area called the Void. Once there, look for an NPC called Yuki, then unlock Simple Domain by paying her 500 Essence. This ability will nullify the effects of the Domain Expansion. Next, navigate to any safe area in the Void where no one can interrupt you and press the "M" key to meditate.

You need to meditate for five to 20 minutes until a message pops up that says, "I feel an unusual power surging through my veins." When you see this message, you will finally unlock Domain Expansion. However, you will only be able to access it once you die and respawn in the Void. If there's no enemy around you, you can start taking fall damage by jumping off higher locations.

How to use Domain Expansion in Sorcery

To use Domain Expansion, you need to fill the bar underneath its button in the hotbar. You can do so by dealing damage to the enemies. Once it's full, hold the "E" button and click on the Domain Expansion button. That's it, you have now successfully activated this ability.

The Domain Expansion you unlock in the Void will be the one assigned to you during character creation. If you’re not satisfied with your ability, you can reroll it by interacting with an NPC called Mahito. He is found in the spawn area for both Sorcerers and Cursed. Rerolling a Domain Expansion will cost you 10 Cursed Tickets, so make sure you have some of this currency to spare.
