The Ancient Archives are one such thing that has confused quite a few gamers.

As mentioned previously, to gain access to the Ancient Archives, you need to go through certain hoops. First, you must reach the right location and then obtain different fragments scattered across the map.

To reach the Ancient Archives, go to the Ancient Isles island and look for the waterfall. To access the entrance, use the zipline to get to the top. Then, make the jump to land on the ledge, leading into the cave. Once behind the waterfall, simply climb down the rope to reach the archive's entrance.

Once there, you must collect all the Ancient Archives Fragments to open the door and gain access to the location. There are four different fragments you must procure. They are:

• Deep Sea Fragment
• Ancient Fragment
• Solar Fragment
• Earth Fragment

How to collect all the Fragments

Deep Sea Fragment

The Deep Sea Fragment is the easiest to collect. To obtain it, all you have to do is go to the waterfall in the Ancient Isles and jump underneath it into the water. Make sure to equip your diving gear to increase the time you can remain underwater. You will find the fragment on the ocean floor, as it is pretty easy to spot.

Ancient Fragment

To get the Ancient Fragment, fish and wait to get lucky. However, you must use the Maggot bait in Fisch if you want to get your hands on this fragment. On top of that, you must be in the "Ocean" region to catch it.

Solar Fragment

To reach the Solar Fragment, you must head over to the Merchant on the island. From here, go left and start climbing until you reach the very top of the hill that has a lone tree. This is where you will find the Solar Fragment.

However, you can only pick it up during a Solar Eclipse. Now, you can either wait for this to happen automatically, or use the Eclipse Totem, which can be found at Earth Fragment's location. You can use this totem in the daytime.

To find the Earth Fragment, go toward the tree near the Solar Fragment and start heading down towards the left side. After a while. go slightly right and look for a ledge with a wooden fence. Jump onto it, and turn back to find a small cave with the Earth Fragment, Eclipse Totem, and the Phoenix Rod inside.

How to open the Ancient Archives

To access the Ancient Archives, you must fulfill the following requirements:

• Have the Fragments
• Be at the door during an Eclipse
• Be at the door with four players

If you are unable to reach the location while the Eclipse is occurring, you can use the Eclipse Totem to create favorable surroundings for yourself. Apart from this, you need four players to open the door, as each one needs to stand on the pressure plates and insert the right fragment.

Once all of you have inserted the fragments and turned the pillars, the door will start glowing and provide you access to the Ancient Archives. Inside, you can use the Rod Crafting Table and also fish in the location to complete the Archives Bestiary.
