If you are bored of the standard gameplay loop, you can choose to play the challenging Assassin mode in Murder Mystery 2. This mode is extra tough since players are pitted against each other for rewards. Naturally, it takes just a few seconds for the hunter to become the prey, and figuring it all out can be pretty chaotic for a newcomer.

How to play Murder Mystery 2 Assassin mode

In the Assassin mode, you and every other player will spawn with a knife, with the objective is to kill the target that you have been assigned. You will receive the assigned target's information on top of the screen. It includes their avatar, username, knife, and gun. You will have to use this information to find your target on the map and kill them.

After each kill, your target will change and this will keep repeating until you are the only one alive. However, be careful as you will also be someone's target. It is recommended that you maintain some distance, stand away from the crowd, and find your target. Once you find them, it will be easier for you to chase and kill them.

Do note that there are also some repercussions for killing the wrong target. Each time you eliminate the wrong player, you will lose your knife for a few seconds. This will make you momentarily vulnerable to incoming attacks. That said, you shouldn't melee an incorrect player unless you can afford to do it.

Every match has a time limit within which you must complete all objectives. If the time runs out, the game will end in a tie. In this scenario, you will win nothing. However, if you manage to win within the time limit, you will be rewarded with either XP or Coins.

Tips to play Assassin mode in Murder Mystery 2

After spending plenty of time in this mode, it becomes evident that you shouldn't stay in one location for too long. Try to keep moving and change your position constantly to avoid getting meleed by someone.

Moreover, try to damage your target by throwing a knife at them. To do so, you simply have to aim at the opponent and hit the right-click button. After throwing a knife, it will spawn in your arsenal again, so you don't need to worry about it.

While in a crowd, try to stand on a higher ground. This will separate you from others, allowing you to take a better look at your target. You can also hop continuously to avoid taking damage from your enemies.
