Roblox launches Teen Council: How to join and other details

Roblox is constantly improving its platform and making it a better place for children. The Teen Council is yet another step towards ensuring kids feel safe on the platform while gaming and interacting with others. This is a huge step that will help the developers and the company as a whole understand the player base and implement major changes that need to be. The Teen Council is an initiative where children aged 14 - 17 can apply to be a part of the group.

If selected, they will be in direct contact with several teams at Roblox where they will not only get to share their feedback but also learn more about online safety and civility. It is worth noting that the program will only have up to 15 children and is limited to kids based in the United States.

The applications are open and eligible teens can apply through Roblox's portal before December 6, 2024. If selected, you will be a part of a team that will help the platform have better safety for people your age and beyond.

How to fill in the Roblox Teen Council application

Interested participants can fill in the Teen Council application form through the portal. You can also click on this link which will redirect you to the application form. To fill it out, you must have an email ID and enter your age, city, state, and date of birth.

Note that you will not be eligible for the Teen Council if any of your family members is a full-time employee at the company. You must answer this question when it appears in the application. Next, there will be several objective questions that need you to answer them briefly. They include your thoughts on civility and features on the platform.

After answering every question and submitting the form, all you have to do is stay patient and wait for an answer. If you're selected, the company will contact you and invite you to a virtual video interview around January 2025.

Other details about the Teen Council

The company has shared other important details about the pilot program which are worth noting down. First and foremost, the Teen Council will run for five months. During this time, the selected members will be required to attend a one to two-hour-long meeting twice a month. During these virtual meetings held on Zoon, the team will discuss several matters as stated before.

The company is looking for candidates who are quite familiar with the platform and have spent a good amount of time on it. If you have experience with building games on the platform, you might receive an advantage over others. The program is also looking for Tech-savvy and socially active candidates to make it a success.
