In Scary Hide & Seek, you spawn either as a Seeker or a Hider on the map. While the objective of the Hider is to hide until the timer runs out, the Seekers must use their skills to find and eliminate those hiding. Comparatively, a Seeker's job is tough as they start solo in a match and have a time limit that restricts them. For a beginner, understanding how to play as a Seeker might get overwhelming because of its confusing mechanics.

How to play as a Seeker in Scary Hide & Seek

The chances of you spawning as a Seeker are less than spawning as a Hider. Since only one player starts as a Seeker, there's a random chance that you will be assigned this role. Regardless, once you spawn as a Seeker, all the Hiders will have 25 seconds to hide somewhere on the map. In the meantime, you can select the Seeker skin and weapon (melee) you want to equip.

Note: You can purchase new weapons and skins from the Market in the lobby. Doing so will cost you some coins that are earned by playing the game.

Once all the Hiders are done hiding, you can start looking for them. Before the three-minute time limit runs out, you need to find all the Hiders. Remember, you will only win as once all the Hiders are caught in this Roblox title.

It should be noted that once a Hider is caught, he or she will join forces with the Seeker. The Hider-turned-Seeker will then have to find the remaining hidden players. In case you are having a hard time finding a Hider, you can use certain abilities to track them down.

For example, there's a default Heartbeat ability that lets you track the heartbeat of the Hiders. You will immediately start receiving pulses when you are close to a hidden player.

More powers can be purchased from the Abilities menu on the left side of the screen. You will need to spend coins to purchase the following abilities:

Ghost

• Become invisible while gaining a speed boost.
• Cost: Purchase for 250 coins.

Confusion

• Confuse Hiders and mess up their movement.
• Cost: Purchase for 400 coins.

Freeze

• Freeze your next hit for seven seconds.
• Cost: Purchase for 600 Coins.

Teleport Dash

• Instantly teleport to where your cursor is hovering.
• Cost: Purchase for 1000 coins.

Frighten

• Let out a Shriek sound causing all players to jump in fear.
• Cost: Purchase for 1800 coins.

Tornado

• Attract Hiders to a swirling wind.
• Cost: Purchase for 2000 Coins.

Spirits

• Locate the nearest player with the help of a spirit.
• Cost: Purchase for 279 Robux.
