Sonic's 33rd Anniversary Event tasks:

• Complete 10 Time Trials
• Perform 100 Hoverboard Boosts
• Collect 3000000 Rings
• Earn 300000 Rail Grind Points
• Collect 300 Experience Hoops

Shadow's 23rd Anniversary Event tasks:

• Complete 250 Hoverboard Tricks
• Defeat 500 Badniks
• Collect 6500 Chaos Orbs
• Complete 20 Races

Apart from these, there are some separate Birthday Bash tasks you can complete in the game. Doing so will give you amazing rewards that are definitely worth collecting. The tasks are as follows:
