The Sonic Speed Simulator Music Event update has come as a treat for players. It features DJ Knuckles and Rockstar Silver competing against each other in a Battle of the Bands. The update brings many new additions and changes to the game, including a new Guitar Hoverboard that is unlocked after finding some Hidden Music notes.

• Every Knuckles skin has received a visual upgrade, New Animations and Texture maps (not including, Movie Knuckles, Classic Knuckles and Fake Metal Knuckles Skins).
• Search feature has been added to trading.
• You can now use team mastery on a character even if they are favorited/locked.
• Skyring render distance changed and more sky rings have been added to Green Hill, Lost Valley, and Emerald Hill.
• Performance improvements to New Yoke City on lower-end settings/devices.
• Updated Avatar Accessory area + new gold sonic statue accessory in lobby.
• Tasks changed for main quests in Green Hill and Lost Valley.

Sonic Speed Simulator Music Event explained

Team Knuckles or Team Silver? (Image via Roblox)

In the Battle of the Bands Music Event, DJ Knuckles and Rockstar Silver face off against each other to decide who has better taste in music. During this event, you are required to pick a side: Team Knuckles or Team Silver.

Siding with any of these characters means you will need to complete a set of quests. Upon completion, you will earn some precious rewards. If you complete all the quests on DJ Knuckles' side, you will unlock his skin. Similarly, you will unlock DJ Silver's skin after completing his side of the quests.

Besides the Battle of the Bands, you can unlock a new Guitar Hoverboard. All you need to do is find 11 Hidden Music Notes scattered across different areas.

This event has also introduced new character skins for sale. You can now purchase a Rockstar Sonic, Rockstar Shadow, and Popstar Amy skin from the "Character Sale" section on the map. Each one can be purchased for 399 Robux.
