India's Apurvi Chandela clinched the silver medal in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event at the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup final that is currently being played in Munich, on Saturday. The Jaipur-born shooter finished with a tally of 206.9, 0.6 behind Ahmadi Elaheh of Iran, who won gold with a tally of 207.5
Chandela began the final in emphatic fashion by firing two shots of 10.8 to lead with a score of 32.1 after Series 1. But fell down a place immediately after that, firing 30.6 in the second series.

The Indian continued to remain in the top 3 among all shooters and two separate shoot-offs fired in a 10.8 and 10.5 to remain in contention for a medal.
In the end, in the final shot the 22-year-old fired in a 10.2, which was just 0.2 less than the eventual winner Ahmadi Elaheh who shot a 10.4 in her final shot to take gold.
Chandela has qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics after clinching the bronze medal at the 2015 Changwon World Cup and is also the reigning Commonwealth Games gold medalist.
