Lesnar Vs Rollins- Signed and SealedFor a pay-per-view that originated 2 years ago and was mostly underwhelming, it’s now being considered to be one of the most eagerly awaited events of this year. The build up to this hasn’t been less than any other marquee PPV event. The hype has been something different than the past 2 years. For the last couple of editions, only one or two matches cumulatively stood out. One being The Rhodes Family Vs The Shield in the inaugural edition and the tag match between Usos and the Wyatt Family from last year. This year promisies to be a lot differentHere are 5 reasons why Battleground will be one of the best PPV's of 2015-
#5 Brock Lesnar
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Here’s the first and foremost and obvious reason to be happy and excited about Battleground. Brock Lesnar has made an appearance every week towards the build up to this PPV and made Seth Rollins scurry and whimper at the thought of the Beast lurking behind him for the title that he hold dearly.
Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar have done everything that can be done in the best way possible to sell this PPv to the viewers. They’ve made you believe that Rollins won’t be the same walking away after the main event against the Beast.
The Beast means business and it’s sure to pick up.
#4 Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt has had many underwhelming and short-lived feuds this year. Either his feuds are stretched beyond their saturation point or some of them vanish without a point. He had a Wrestlemania 31 feud with the Undertaker with the veteran making just one appearance and that too at Wrestlemania which he won. Ryback and Wyatt had a brief feud, until that was ended abruptly.
Bray Wyatt then set his sights on the heir apparent of the WWE and it’s all been good so far. Their staredowns have been awesome and the minimal build up has worked well to believe in its longevity.
Given how protected these two are, it’ll be quite something to see who wins.
#3 Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose hasn’t had any feud since moving out of title contention. But rumors are going around that he has a relevant role to play. That is expected since he’s one of the most popular stars around. The interesting part is that we’ve seen him face Bo Dallas twice and we’ve seen him be beside his brother Roman Reigns whenever Wyatt is on the prowl.
So, is there a tag match in the making between two brother Reigns and Ambrose against two real-life brothers Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt?
Or is there a Dean Ambrose heel turn just around the corner?
#2 Owens vs Cena
One of the best feuds of the year is having its third PPV match. Right now, both of them are even with Owens defeating Cena clean in his glorious debut and Cena beating Owens clean in a match for the ages.
And now the US Title is on the line and Owens is after that prize since he’s lost his NXT title to the Demon overlord Finn Balor.
Owens is a fighter but he’s mainly a prize fighter and with the US Title on the line, it seems Owens is quite determined to win it. What happens to Owens if Cena wins is still up in the air. But with Cesaro and Rusev on the prowl, the US Title picture looks really great.
#1 The Revitalization of a Division
The biggest story, the most exciting one, from the go home show for Battleground was the advent of the NXT divas into the main roster domain. It was the one of the best Diva segment of Raw in recent times considering how stale the division has been in recent times. Charlotte and Sasha Banks continued that momentum and main evented NXT one last time, sealing their illustrious feud at NXT with a hug.
Battleground may see Paige and Nikki Bella face each other or maybe the trios that were made on Raw come face to face for a match. But it’ll be interesting to see Banks, Lynch and Charlotte in action in some capacity.
