About WWE NXT Battleground 2024
NXT Battleground 2024 is an NXT PPV event took place on May 26, 2024. It was the seventh event in the Battleground chronology and the second under NXT. In partnership with UFC, WWE organised the event in the UFC Apex in Las Vegas community of Enterprise, Nevada. This is the first time WWE is hosting an event in partnership with UFC after the two entities were merged into one as TKO in 2023.

NXT Women's North American Championship Ladder Match
NXT is introducing a first-of-its-kind secondary championship for the women's division - the NXT Women's North American Championship. This title mirrors the existing men's title. The inaugural champion will be crowned in a ladder match at NXT Battleground. To qualify for the match, wrestlers had to impress at a combine that tested their athleticism. The top 12 performers from the combine advanced to qualifying matches. Kelani Jordan defeated Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Fallon Henley, Jaida Parker and Michin to win the championship.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match
Veterans The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson), joined NXT with a bang in February, attacking the rising stars Axiom and Nathan Frazer. The animosity continued as both teams competed in a tournament, which Axiom and Frazer won, securing a shot at the NXT Tag Team titles. The O.C. didn't back down, attacking the champions again after their title win in May. This led to a highly anticipated championship match between the two teams set for the upcoming Battleground event. The Champions managed to hold on to their belts at the end of the event.
NXT Underground Match
NXT is brewing a heated rivalry between Raw's Shayna Baszler and NXT's Lola Vice. It all started at Spring Breakin' when Baszler returned to NXT to back Vice against Natalya (also from Raw). The animosity continued, with Vice ultimately claiming victory. Both teams clashed again in a tag match, which Natalya and her partner Petrovic won. But the real drama unfolded after the match. Vice, in a shocking turn, attacked Baszler, igniting a brawl. To settle the score, NXT General Manager Ava sanctioned an NXT Underground match between the two at Battleground, a stipulation suggested by Baszler herself. Lola Vice won the match via referee stoppage.
NXT North American Championship Triple Threat Match
Oba Femi has been holding strong as the NXT North American Champion. He successfully defended his title in a triple threat match at Stand & Deliver against Josh Briggs, Dijak and Ivar. On the following episode, he fended off another challenge from Raw's Ivar. But just as Femi seemed to be in control, Wes Lee, returning from a long injury, emerged as a potential contender. A triple threat match was set to determine Femi's next challenger, but Ivar was unfortunately injured. Joe Coffey from Gallus stepped in to take his place. In a chaotic turn of events, both Lee and Joe emerged victorious in their qualifying match, leading NXT General Manager Ava to make it a triple threat championship match at Battleground. Femi retained his belt with his raw strength.
NXT Women's Championship Match
NXT Champion Roxanne Perez is about to face a new challenger. During a call with the Raw and SmackDown General Managers, NXT's Ava secured a cross-brand match. The identity of this superstar was revealed to be none other than Jordynne Grace, who is not even a WWE wrestler. The current TNA Knockout Champion lost to the current NXT Women's Champion at Battleground.
NXT Championship Match
Noam Dar was mysteriously attacked backstage on NXT. His friends suspected the champion, Trick Williams, but another friend of Dar's, Lash Legend, defended Williams. Things got more confusing when another member of Dar's group, Oro Mensah, was also attacked. Finally, the culprit was revealed to be a newcomer, Ethan Page, who also set his sights on the NXT championship held by Williams. Now, Williams is set to defend his title against Page at NXT Battleground. The UFC Apex Arena saw Williams retain his gold against Page.
NXT Battleground 2024 Stadium
Battleground 2024 took place at the UFC Apex. It is an event and production center in Las Vegas, Enterprise, Nevada. Currently, the stadium has a capacity of only around 1000 spectators. The arena is owned by WWE's sister-promotion UFC, as they both are owned by TKO Holdings since 2023.
