Bray Wyatt is a superstar who has all the resources to end up in the WWE hall of fame in the future. He has managed to create a standout character and worked hard with it making it must watch television for the WWE Universe. He also got a long feud with John Cena so early into his career but after that, Bray was pushed back into the crowd thanks to Money in the bank.It wasnt one of the angles which complemented his character and Bray seems to be slipping out of relevance due to it.And like always, WWE surprised the fans and gave Bray a credible opponent in the form a Chris Jericho who made his return after almost one year. The feud looks set to push Bray back into big picture and first stage of the journey will be at Battleground so here is a look at how the match could end.
#3 The money maker ruins the outing
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
A feud between Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho is something which deserves a bigger stage than Battleground. Bray has been a main stay in WWE’s big plans in recent history while Jericho is one of those names without which the history wouldn’t be complete.
It has all the potential to be a main program in SummerSlam and WWE adding it to the Battleground line up was a bit surprising. Also, Jericho had an interaction with The Miz on his night of return which had a great potential with Miz’s new Hollywood gimmick.
The company limited it to a match between the two at Raw costing Miz some great television time. However, this might not be the end of the Miz story as it could come back to help the WWE in pushing the Bray- Jericho feud all the way to SummerSlam.
Miz getting involved in the match would keep him relevant during the Marine promotions as he can have some more time with Jericho. In the end, WWE could book Miz in some different angle after that while Jericho and Bray could deliver a big program at SummerSlam.
#2 Erick Rowan and Luke Harper has something to say
Taking forward the idea of this feud being too big for Battleground, this ending would be something which will look more natural than the previous one.
Erick Rowan and Luke Harper have been instrumental in most of the feuds that Bray was involved in and so far this one also seems to be heading the same way. It was the duo which ensured Bray’s steel cage win against Cena at Extreme Rules making them big factors at Battleground as well.
However, the problem with this would be the way Bray would turn out. He will be projected weak once again, which is something that the WWE wouldn’t want at this stage.
On the other hand, this would intensify the character of Jericho who will have more motives to strike back at the Wyatt Family than the small ones which he has now.
#1 Jericho getting the first round
Taking away all the gloss and decorations, Chris Jericho is basically a part-time superstar who will have to return to his other life once his short stint is over.
Over the years, the trend in the way which WWE has been booking similar wrestler has received mixed responses from the crowd. Most of them would get big wins over the regular names as the company has a need of protecting their established star in order to lure them into the company again when they feel like it.
Jericho looks all set to be booked similar against Bray since this is not going to be Jericho’s last visit to WWE. This means that the feud might end up in a draw or going Jericho’s way once it concludes but making sure that he gets to draw the first blood.
Bray, at this stage of his career wouldn’t mind losing the opening match of his feud. And as said by Mick Foley, it would be the feuds that make a legacy and not the number of wins or losses.
