WWE Battleground 2015: 3 possible endings for Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins

The ‘Wild cardThe much-anticipated showdown between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins will take place at Battleground. Although it was first planned for SummerSlam, issues involving the WWE Network has forced WWE to change their calendar. Having a blockbuster main event sky rockets the credibility of Battleground, but above all, the match will be a treat for the fans.Rollins is yet to prove his worth as a champion, despite the win at Money in the Bank. The match with Lesnar is the perfect opportunity for him but then again, it is not easy as it sounds. Lesnar, on the other hand, will be looking to give Rollins a free trip to Suplex city. There are some interesting dynamics in this match and here are the possible endings:

#3 Ambrose puts his case forward

Dean Ambrose saw the WWE championship slip through his fingers at Money in the Bank. He was so close to becoming the champion and Ambrose deserves a rematch. Triple H, however, is in no mood to give the Lunatic Fringe another shot. This might force Ambrose to take matters into his own hand.

Rollins and Lesnar will be tearing each other up at Battleground. Just before the match is going to have a definitive ending, Ambrose could come down and knock both the superstars out. He could then steal the title since he deserves his shot. With such an angle, WWE could set up a triple threat match between these three at SummerSlam. Ambrose will be the clear favorite if this happens and Lesnar will not be pinned either.

#2 Sheamus messes up the match

Whatever happens, WWE is not going to let Brock Lesnar take a clean loss at Battleground. The first option is Dean Ambrose screwing the match up and the second possibility is Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior has a guaranteed contract in his hands which could play a big role. Sheamus could interfere in the Rollins – Lesnar match at some point and tease a cash-in.

An actual cash in, however, should be avoided. WWE should make all three wrestlers look good and no one should take a fall. Involving Sheamus could set up a rematch between Rollins and Lesnar at SummerSlam, which, by the way was the real plan. The title could change hands there, rather than changing on a ‘B’ pay-per-view.

#1 Authority turns on Seth

WWE has been building up a lot of friction between Seth Rollins and the Authority. Stephanie McMahon is clearly not impressed with the behavior of Rollins and it won’t be too late before she decides to turn on him. Triple H is still backing Seth as we know, but that could change as well.

The Authority could pull off a full blown turn against Seth at Battleground. Kane and J&J Security are already pissed off at Rollins. If this happens, Rollins could have a face run without the championship and a Triple H vs. Seth Rollins showdown could happen at SummerSlam. On the other side, WWE could book Lesnar against Roman Reigns or Dean Ambrose at SummerSlam.
