Griffin Colapinto's connection to the ocean began quite early on. Growing up in San Clemente, California, where his father ran a surf camp at Poche Beach, the ocean naturally became a playground for him. By the age of two, Griffin was already standing tall on a surfboard, with a remarkable knack for riding the waves. This early exposure sparked a lifelong passion. By eight, Griffin had a clear goal: becoming a professional surfer. Every day, he'd be out on the water, bettering his skills and chasing the perfect ride.

Griffin entered the competition at just 10 years old. He entered his first National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) contest, and despite his young age, his talent was unmistakable. He fought his way to the finals, and hasn’t stopped since. Moreover, he will be competing at the Paris Olympics 2024, where he will be looking to add to his legacy.
