Shackell was placed sixth in the 200-meter freestyle at the 2024 US Olympics Swimming Team Trials. Shackell qualified for the 1st wave of the 2020 Olympics Team Trials in the 100-meter butterfly at just 14 years old. Her achievements include setting a winter Junior Meet record in the 200 medley relay and securing a top position at various national Competitions. She attended Carmel High School where she extended her school records to 36 straight Indiana High School State Championships.
