Alex Walsh is a Professional American Swimmer. She was born on July 31, 2001, in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Walsh's mother, Glynis Walsh is a former professional swimmer herself. Alex Walsh’s sister Gretchen Walsh is also a professional swimmer, competing at the International level. The Walsh family moved to Greenwich, Connecticut, when Alex was a kid, and was raised there. Walsh attended the Greenwich Elementary School where she began swimming.
The family moved back to Nashville during her teen years and there she attended the Harpeth Hall School. Following a spectacular high school swimming career, Walsh began her collegiate career at the University of Virginia. There, she helped the University win the NCAA Championships for four consecutive years from 2021 to 2024. At the same time, she became prominent in the international circuit with continuous great performances in crucial tournaments.
