Alison Gibson, born on July 9, 1999, in Houston, Texas, and hails from Austin, Texas, is a diver from the United States. In 2017, she became the NCAA diving champion. Alison qualified for the 2020 Olympics in the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard event alongside her partner, Krysta Palmer.
Alison placed third on the 1-meter and tied for sixth on the 3-meter at the NCAA Championships. She won the 1-meter and finished second in the 3-meter at the Big 12 Championships. She won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events against Florida and Indiana. Alison placed fourth in the ‘A’ final of the 1-meter and third in the ‘B’ final of the 3-meter at the NCAA Championships. She set a Big 12 Conference and meet record in the 1-meter at the Big 12 Championships. Gibson won the 1-meter and placed second in the 3-meter against Arizona. She also claimed victories in the 3-meter at Arizona State and the 3-meter at NC State.
Alison won her first event at the NCAA Championships, becoming UT's first NCAA diving champion in 10 years with a score of 332.60 points on the 1-meter. She took second place on the 1-meter and third on the 3-meter at the Big 12 Championships. Alison was a three-time USA Diving junior national champion and placed sixth in the women's 3-meter finals at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Diving Trials. She won the 1-meter and a bronze medal in the 3-meter at the 2015 Junior Pan American Games. She also won a bronze medal on the 3-meter at the 2013 Junior Pan American Games and a silver medal on the 3-meter at the 2012 Pan American Games.
