In the 2022 Budapest World Championships, he won two golds (4x100m freestyle and 4x100m mixed medley), two silvers (50m backstroke and 4x100m medley), and one bronze (100m backstroke). In the 2023 Fukuoka Championships, he again dominated with two golds (50m backstroke and 4x100m medley) and one bronze (100m backstroke).
Armstrong shined during the 2014 Doha World Championships, where he won three gold medals (100m backstroke, 4x100m medley, and 4x100m mixed medley), one silver medal (50m backstroke), and three bronze medals (4x100m freestyle, 4x200m freestyle, and 4x100m mixed freestyle). Be it US Open Championships, NCAA Championships, or the Swimming World Cups, Hunter Armstrong tried his best to bag as many medals as he could.
