Jack Alexy Nationality

Jack Alexy is an American swimmer mainly competing in Freestyle and Backstroke on an international level. He has, so far, won a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the 4×100 m freestyle category, and has won five medals including one gold at the World Aquatics Championship. He had risen to prominence after winning gold in the 2019 Budapest World Junior Championships in 4×100 m freestyle.

He is completing his graduation from the University of California, Berkeley, where he represents the California Bears team. There, he has won 11 medals at the NCAA Championships including one gold and six silver. He has also won the Pac-12 Team Championship in 2022, is a 14-time CSCAA All-American, and a 4-time Pac-12 Champion in 200-meter free relay and 400-meter free relay.

His family has a rich sporting history. Alexy’s maternal grandfather Bill Ebben was a professional basketball player, who had played for the Detroit Pistons in the NBA in the 1950s. Alexy’s mother Lynn Alexy played as star guard for the Notre Dame college basketball team in the 80s. Furthermore, his brother Rob Alexy is also a member of the California Bears swimming team.

Jack Alexy was born in Morristown, New Jersey, USA. He was born on January 19, 2003, and his complete name is John Carroll Alexy. Alexy was raised there in Mendham Borough, which is his hometown. There, he attended the Delbarton School and began his swimming career. Alexy was winning state titles during his time there and soon moved to California for his graduation and collegiate career. In 2024, he qualified to represent the United States in the Paris Olympics. There, he won a gold medal in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay.
