Kate Douglass is an American professional swimmer. Born on November 17, 2001, she won a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Kate is coached by Todd DeSorbo, she competes in medley, breaststroke, freestyle, and butterfly strokes. Growing up in Pelham, New York, she attended Pelham Memorial High School and later went to the University of Virginia. She competed there from 2019 to 2023 at her university, winning multiple medals each year.
She received the Honda Sports Award as the best college female swimmer in both 2022 and 2023. Kate will be competing in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris in multiple events.

Kate Douglass has won only one bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics, where she competed in the 200m individual medley. She finished with a personal best time of 2:09.04, after Yui Ohashi and Alex Walsh. Japan's Yui Ohashi secured gold and Alex Walsh won the silver. The race was intense but Douglass managed to overtake Abbie Wood who finished fourth, beating her by a mere 0.06 seconds.
