Kate Douglass is a Professional American Swimmer. She was born on November 17, 2001, in Pelham, New York, USA to Allison and William Douglass. She has a younger sister named Abby and a younger brother Will. Raised in her hometown, Douglass attended the Pelham Memorial High School and then began her graduation in 2019 from the University of Virginia in 2019 in Computer Science. She began swimming with the Westchester Aquatic Club and rose to prominence in 2016 after qualifying for the US Olympic Team Trials.

Following great performances at the Junior World Championships, and Junior Olympics, Douglass began her NCAA career. There, she was a 15-time NCAA Champion, 28-time All-American, 25-time ACC Champion, and 27-time All-ACC Swimmer. At the same time, she started making her mark on the International circuit.

Kate Douglass has won two medals at the Olympics - a silver, and a bronze. In 2021, she qualified for the Tokyo Olympics, where she won a bronze medal Women's 200m Individual Medley. Three years later, she won a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay alongside Gretchen Walsh, Torri Huske, and Simone Manuel. Abbey Weitzeil and Erika Connolly were also awarded medals. Her campaign at the Paris Olympics has just taken off.

Kate Douglass Olympic Appearances

Kate Douglass has competed in two Olympic games so far. She did qualify for the US Team Trials before the 2016 Rio Olympics but failed to qualify for the tournament. Douglass represented her nation at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and won a bronze medal in the Women’s 200-meter medley. At the Paris Olympics, she has already won a silver medal in the 4x100-meter Women’s relay and is yet to compete in the 100 m freestyle, 200 m breaststroke, and 200 m individual medley categories.
