Rio de Janeiro, Aug 10 (IANS) It belies the bitter feud between their home nations and displays a rare inter-Korean friendship. A photo of two gymnasts from the twin daggers-drawn nations posing for a selfie is being touted as one that defines the spirit of the Olympics.
Gymnasts Lee Eun-ju of South Korea and Hong Un-Jong of North Korea's act of posing for a charming selfie has gone viral across the globe -- and is turning out to be one of the most iconic moments of the Rio Games.
Competing in the same session, the duo was caught by photographers taking the selfie together. The 17-year-old Lee is seen holding her phone and smiling as 27-year-old Hong leans in for the photo with a broad smile.

American political scientist Ian Bremmer posted the picture on twitter saying: "This is why we do the Olympics."
The photo has been shared across social networking sites, with people hailing the duo for upholding the spirit of the Games -- unity.

It was heartbreak for the Brazilian women's rugby sevens team at the Deodoro Stadium when they narrowly missed reaching the knockouts, but squad member Isadora Cerullo soon had a reason to celebrate -- a marriage proposal from her girlfriend.
Marjorie Enya -- a manager at the Deodoro Stadium grabbed a microphone and popped the question before delivering an emotional speech to her girlfriend.
As Cerullo accepted, the pair embraced and kissed to loud cheers from the crowd.

Diving pool goes green
The aqua blue waters of an Olympic diving pool turning to a bright green hue has puzzled divers, organisers as well as the audience at large.
Among the many to be perplexed by the event is British diver Tom Daley, who won a bronze diving into the "blue" waters of the pool.
"Ermmm, what happened," asked Daey, posting a picture on Twitter which showed the huge colour contrast with the adjacent pool being used for water polo.
The organisers affirmed the water to have been tested and posed no risk for athletes, but that has not stooped the internet from taking some guesses as to what could cause the discoloration.
From "algae" to "piss", Twitterati have been coming out with various reasons for the pool going green.
