Nic Fink, born on July 3, 1993, is a five-time breaststroke champion. Throughout his career, he has won 24 gold, 10 silver, and 12 bronze medals, mostly at the Swimming World Cup. He is from Morristown, New Jersey, and started his swimming career after graduating from Pingry High School.
He went to the University of Georgia, where he was on the swim team for the Georgia Bulldogs and studied Electrical Engineering. At the ISL Final in 2021, Nic Fink set a new record in the men's 100 breaststroke with a swim finish of 55.56s. The following year, he set a championship record at the 16th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) Men 50 Breaststroke event in Australia with a finishing time of 25.38s.
Nic's limelight season began at the 2013 National Championships after placing 2nd and 3rd in the 100m and 200m breaststroke events, respectively, following a failure to qualify for the U.S. national team in 2012. He was able to make the USA team in 2014 and won the silver medal in the 200-meter breaststroke event after swimming a 2:08.94 in the finals.
Nic has two world records from the 2022 Men 4x100 Medley Relay and Mixed 4x50 Medley Relay, with finishing times of 03:18.98 and 01:35.15, respectively. He competed at the World Championships, winning 13 medals in total: 6 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze. He is currently at the Athens Bulldog Swim Club and will be making his Olympic debut in Paris in 2024 after failing to make the Team USA Olympic team three times.
