Sarah Bacon, born on September 20, 1996, is an American springboard diver. She is a Member of the USA Diving National Team. She began her diving career in 2004. In 2014, she was named the NISCA All-American Champion and won both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events at the Junior National Diving Championships. She also won the 1-meter title at the AT&T Senior National Diving Championships. Sarah served as the team captain for the FINA World Junior Diving Championships.
In her junior year (2018-2019), Bacon was named the 2019 Big Ten Diver of the Year and became the NCAA 1-meter diving champion, breaking a 12-year-old record with a score of 363.20. She also set school and pool records in the 3-meter dive at the Big Ten Championships with a score of 430.60. At the 2019 USA Diving National Championships, Sarah won the 1-meter event with a score of 299.10 and finished 3rd in the 3-meter event with 307.90 points. She also placed 2nd in the synchronized 3-meter dive with Hayden, scoring 286.80 points. Competing for the United States, she earned a silver medal in the 1-meter dive at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju. Later that year, she and Brooke Schultz won silver in the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard event, and Bacon captured gold in the women's individual 1-meter springboard event at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
In 2020, Bacon won the USA Diving National Championships in the 3-meter synchronized event with Kassidy Cook. The pair went on to win gold at the FINA Grand Prix in Madrid, Spain, in the 3-meter synchro, and Bacon also claimed silver in the individual 3-meter event. At the Grand Prix in Rostock, Germany, Bacon and Cook again won gold in the 3-meter synchro.
Sarah, alongside her partner and longtime friend Kassidy Cook, qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics in the 3-meter synchronized springboard event. She also qualified for the 3-meter individual event. On July 27, 2024, Kassidy and Sarah won the first medals for the United States at the 2024 Olympics, earning silver in the 3-meter synchronized springboard event.
