Texas Rangers are an American Baseball team in Major and League Baseball. The team is also widely known by its nicknames ‘The Rangers’ and ‘The Power Rangers’. Texas Rangers is a team based in Arlington, Texas, United States.
The team was established in 1961 in Washington. They were known as the Washington Senators. They changed their name to Texas Rangers in 1972.
The team's current ballpark is Globe Life Field. It has been so since 2020. Before settling on the Globe Life Field which is a retractable roof stadium in Arlington, Texas. The team had four other stadiums which it called its home stadium before settling on the current one. The Texas Rangers have achieved quite a lot in Major League Baseball. Texas Rangers History
The Texas Rangers team seems to have been established in 1961. The Texas Rangers back then were known as the Washington Senator and were based in Washington. However, in 1961 the team decided to move to Minnesota. This move meant that the team would be assimilating with another already present team which was the Minnesota Twins. However, fortunately, during the same year, the American League decided to expand and sanction the creation of two new teams.
The first one was the Los Angeles Angels and the second one was the new Washington Senators. Although it looked like the team might move to New York. The Washington Senators decided to move to Texas. This move happened in 1971 and it was in this year that the team changed its name from Washington Senators to the Texas Rangers.

The current owner of Texas Rangers is the Rangers Baseball Express, LLC. It is a group of individuals that owns the team. Ray Davis and Bob R. Simpson are part of the group that purchased the team. Ray Davis is co-owner and co-chairman of the Texas Rangers. He is an American businessman. He is the CEO and chairman of Energy Transfer Partners and chairman of Energy Transfer Equity. The co-chairman of the Texas Rangers is Bob R. Simpson. He is also the co-founder of XTO Energy.
Texas Rangers Jersey and Logo
The current Texas Rangers jersey consists of the colors Blue, red, and white. The first official jersey that the team wore was made in 1961. The uniforms were in two variations, a home uniform and a road uniform. The home uniform was a pinstripe with red lettering that read ‘Senators’ in capital and bold font. The road uniform was in a gray color with ‘Washington’ written on it in navy coloring. The logo of the team was a ‘W’ in red color with white borders surrounding it.
In 1983, the team again changed their uniforms. The writing on the jerseys changed to ‘RANGERS’ in the home uniform and ‘TEXAS’ in the road uniform. Similarly, small changes occurred in 1994, 2001, and 2009. Currently, the Rangers have five different sets of uniforms. The color theme of the uniforms is Blue, red, and white. The home uniform is a solid white with red accents. The jersey has ‘Rangers’ written in blue with a red border.
The away uniform is gray in color with blue, white, and red accents. It has ‘Texas’ written on the jersey in blue which is bordered by white and red colors. The team has two alternate uniforms, one is a lighter blue with white and navy blue accents. It has ‘Rangers’ written on the jersey in white which is bordered by navy blue and red.
The other alternate uniform is a navy jersey with gray pants. The Jersey has ‘Texas’ written on it in white which is bordered by red. They also have a City Connect uniform which has a cream colored jersey with black accents. The pants are black with red and white accents.
