A.J. Foyt Racing is an American motorsports racing team. It was founded in 1965 and historically known as A.J.Foyt Enterprises. The racing team is owned by A.J. Foyt, a well-known celebrity in motorsports. A.J. Foyt Racing competes in the IndyCar championship and formerly raced in the NASCAR Cup Series. The team has clinched three Indianapolis 500 victories in IndyCar in 1967, 1977, and 1999. A.J. Foyt has clinched two of the three Indy 500 victories for the team. A.J. Foyt Racing has also won two IndyCar championships in 1996 and 1998. Scott Sharp won the first IndyCar championship for the team in 1996.

Anthony Joseph Foyt Jr. is the owner of the A.J. Foyt Racing team. He was born on January 16, 1935 in Houston, Texas in the United States. Foyt is a former racing driver who competed in various motorsports series including IndyCar and NASCAR. A.J. Foyt holds the record for the most number of wins in IndyCar with 67 victories. He has won the Indy 500 race a total of four times. He has won the most American National Championships with seven. Foyt has 159 victories in his USAC career which is a series record. He used to race stock cars in NASCAR and USAC.

A.J. Foyt is the only known driver to have won the Indianapolis 500, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Daytona 500, and the 24 Hours of Daytona. He also has seven victories in his NASCAR Cup Series career. His company A. J. Foyt Enterprises has fielded teams in CART, the IndyCar Series, and NASCAR.
