The team was formed by Ricardo Juncos in 1997 and is now based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The team's owner, Ricardo Juncos began racing by driving karts in Argentina. He is a second-generation and former Formula Renault driver. His Formula Renault career came into play due to his successful karting career.
