Carrillo began his professional wrestling career in Mexico in 2012 under the ring name Último Ninja. He wrestled for various promotions there, winning several championships including the PCLL Tag Team Championship, the LyC Tag Team Championship, and the WWA World Middleweight Championship. In 2018, Carrillo signed with WWE and began competing in their NXT division. He made his main roster debut in 2019 and has since competed on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.
Los Lotharios History in WWE
In the later part of 2021, Angel Garza and Humberto Carillo were both on WWE’s main roster. While Carillo was unsuccessfully challenging for the United States Championship, Garza had been running behind the WWE 24/7 Championship. On the September 20 episode of Monday Night RAW, the two cousins teamed up against Mansoor and Mustafa Ali in a winning effort and formed a tag team.
The next week, Garza faced Erik in a singles match and Carillo helped him punch the victory with some tactics - turning Carillo heel for the first time in his career. During the 2021 WWE Draft, both superstars were drafted to Friday Night SmackDown. In November of that year, the two were officially named Los Lotharios. The meaning of Los Lotharios is men whose primary purpose is to tempt a woman.
Further, Angel Garza and Humberto Carillo had their name shortened and they both dropped the second names. After sporadic feuds and matches in 2022, Los Lotharios was drafted to Monday Night RAW in 2023 during the WWE Draft. In June 2023, they invaded NXT and attacked Axiom and Scrypts. Later that night, they made their intentions clear of joining the competition of the NXT tag team division.
They made their in-ring NXT return next week, losing to the team of Nathan Frazer and Dragon Lee. The two stars were then involved in sporadic feuds for the rest of the year. In December 2023, Los Lotharios made its return to Friday Night SmackDown. They had made their appearances as masked men, where they helped Santos Escobar beat Bobby Lashley in the United States Title Contendership Tournament.
The two stars then officially joined Legado Del Fantasma and defeated Latino World Order’s Carlito, Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde in January 2024. Humberto’s name was then shortened again to Berto.
Championships and Accomplishments
Since the formation of Los Lotharios, neither Angel Garza nor Humberto Carillo has won any title in WWE. Individually, before that, the two superstars have quite success winning some gold.
