McAnally Hilgemann Racing History
McAnally Hilgemann Racing is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team that has been racing in the series for 25 years as of 2024. The team has a long-standing connection with NAPA. They were the first sponsors for the team and have been with the team to date. The team is known for its part-time and full-time operations at Bill McAnally Racing. The team initially started as a competitor in the Late Model Series became McAnally started Truck Series operations in 2000 after winning back-to-back titles in the K&N Pro Series in the previous years.
In 2020, McAnally partnered with William Hilgemann for their Truck Series program. Over the years, the team has won eight races in the NASCAR Truck Series and achieved 12 pole positions without any championship. Bill McAnally
Bill McAnally is an ex-stock car racing driver who started his own Late Model team in 1990 with the help of NAPA. McNally raced in the K&N Pro Series West, later on driving a full season for the first time in 1995. He participated in 56 races from 1992 to 1998 as a racing driver and team owner. During this period, he was working as a lineman on a full-time job.
McAnally retired from racing in 1999 and he passed on the driver’s seat to Sean Woodside who won the first race and championship for the team in 1999. McAnally has achieved immense success as a team owner in the ARCA Menards Series West. He has won eight championships. McAnally is the only owner in the history of NASCAR to achieve eight victories in the touring series of NASCAR.
