Meyer Shank Racing is an American motorsports racing team. It competes in the IndyCar and IMSA series. The team initially started by competing in the Champ Car Toyota Atlantic Championship. However, in 2004, the organization moved to the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series. The team made its IndyCar debut in 2017 at the Indianapolis 500 race. It wasn’t until 2020 that the team would start a full season in IndyCar with two cars. The team gained a lot of popularity after Helio Castroneves won the 2021 Indianapolis 500 giving the team their first and himself his fourth Indy 500 win. Meyer Shank Racing is fairly successful in the IMSA Sportscar Championship having won three championships.

Michael Shank is the owner of Meyer Shank Racing. He is a former race car driver who competed in the SCCA National Championship Runoffs and IndyCar. Michael Shank started his racing career in 1989 winning the SCCA Ohio Valley Region's Novice Driver of the Year award. He also claimed the 1996 Player’s/Toyota Atlantic C2 championship title. After his continuous wins, Meyer retired as a driver and focused on developing his team. In 1999 Shank won “Team Owner of the Year” twice in four years, embarking on a successful milestone in the team’s journey.
