The team is led by Harmanpreet Kaur, who is also the skipper of the Indian national women’s team.
History
The Mumbai Indians Women is one of the most successive franchises in the brief history of the Women’s Premier League.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led unit became the inaugural champions in 2023, defeating the Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals Women in the summit clash.
Last year, the Mumbai-based franchise managed to reach the knockout stages but was eventually eliminated from the tournament by the Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bangalore Women in the Eliminator.
Two years on from their monumental triumph, Harmanpreet and Co. will look to script history once again when they take the field in the third edition of the Women’s Premier League.
