History of Pure Fusion Collective (PFC)

On September 4, 2023, Shayna Baszler defeated Zoey Stark on Raw. A week later, Stark surprisingly came to Baszler's aid when she was attacked by Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. At Crown Jewel 2023, both women competed in a fatal five-way match for the Women's World Championship but fell short of winning. On January 1, 2024, at Raw: Day 1, Baszler and Stark teamed up for the first time and secured a victory, earning the #1 contender spot for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. In the 2024 Queen of the Ring Tournament, both advanced to the first round but were eliminated in the quarterfinals, with Baszler losing to Iyo Sky and Stark to Lyra Valkyria.

On May 20, 2024, Sonya Deville made her return from a torn ACL injury and approached Baszler and Stark to form an alliance. That same night, Baszler and Stark became the number one contenders for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, held by Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, after winning a fatal four-way match. On the June 4 episode of Raw, they challenged for the titles but lost via disqualification due to interference from The Unholy Union. At Clash at the Castle: Scotland 2024, Baszler and Stark competed in a triple threat tag team match for the championship, which The Unholy Union ultimately won.

After a month of anticipation, Deville unveiled the name of her faction, the P.F.C., in a backstage promo leading up to a #1 Contender's Match against IYO SKY and Kairi Sane. However, the match ended in a no-contest due to interference from The Unholy Union. On the August 19 episode of Monday Night Raw, Stark and Baszler of the P.F.C. faced off against The Unholy Union and Damage CTRL (IYO SKY and Kairi Sane) for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship but were ultimately defeated.

In the following episode, the P.F.C. (Baszler & Stark) lost again, this time to Damage CTRL (IYO SKY and Kairi Sane). Then, on September 9, 2024, all three members of the P.F.C. teamed up for the first time since their formation to take on Lyra Valkyria, Natalya, and Zelina Vega, but they suffered yet another loss.
