Andrea Vavassori is an Italian doubles tennis player who is ranked No. 7 as of January 2025 and achieved his career-high ranking of No. 6 on October 2024. He has won seven ATP doubles titles, including the 2024 China Open, the 2024 Halle Open with his new partner, Simone Bolelli. On his debut at the 2024 Paris Olympics, he reached the quarterfinal with Bolelli and registered his first win in singles. Vavassori won his first grand slam title in mixed doubles at the 2024 US Open with Sara Errani, defeating Taylor Townsend and Donald Young. Vavassori started the season on a high note, which included winning his seventh double title at the 2025 Adelaide International, where he and Bolelli defeated Kevin Krawietz and Tim Putz by 4-6, 7-6, 11-9. His triumph continued as he reached his first major final of the season at the 2025 Australian Open, with Bolelli losing to the duo of Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara by 7-6, 6-7, 3-6. By finishing runner-up, they won a prize money of A$440,000.
