Andrea Vavassori is an Italian tennis sensation who has tasted success on the doubles circuit. The 29-year-old is ranked No. 7 as of January 2025 and achieved his career-high ranking of No. 6 on October 2024. On his debut at the Paris Olympics, he reached the quarterfinals in mixed doubles with Sara Errani, representing Italy. Vavassori started playing tennis at three and turned professional in 2014.

He won his first ATP doubles title at the 2021 Sardegna Open with Lorenzo Sonego. Vavassori reached the quarterfinals of the 2024 Canadian Open with Bolelli but lost to the team of Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers. Vavassori finished semifinalist of the 2024 Italian Open, with he and Bolelli losing to Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo.

With Bolelli, he advanced to the quarterfinal of the 2024 Shanghai Masters, where they lost to Andres Molteni and Maximo Gonzalez. Besides doubles, Vavassori competed in the singles category and made his Grand Slam debut at the 2022 Wimbledon Open. He advanced to his first major final of the season at the 2025 Australian Open (with Bolelli), where they lost to the team of Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara by 7-6, 6-7, 3-6. By finishing runner-up, they won a prize money of A$440,000.

Vavassori won his maiden Grand Slam title at the 2024 US Open in mixed doubles with Sara Errani. They defeated the American duo of Donald Young and Taylor Townsend in straight sets. He also reached back-to-back Grand Slam finals at the 2024 Australian Open and the 2024 French Open with Bolelli. At the 2024 Australian Open, the duo of Vavassori and Bolelli lost to Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden in the final by 7-6, 7-5.
