Novak Djokovic vs Reilly Opelka preview
Top seed Serbian Novak Djokovic will want to end his year-long title drought at the ATP level at Brisbane International this year. He will face Reilly Opelka of the United States in Friday's quarterfinals.
Djokovic, who did not win a single ATP title last year, has won both matches in the tournament in straight sets. He beat Rinky Hijikata 6-3, 6-3 in the first round and then disposed of Gael Monfils 6-3, 6-3 in the second round.
Meanwhile, Opelka made a comeback from a long injury lay-off in 2024 and has been playing pretty well in the tournament. He beat Federico Augustin Gomez 7-5, 6-4 in the first round and then got past Matteo Arnaldi 7-6, 7-6 in the second round to qualify for the last eight.
Novak Djokovic vs Reilly Opelka head-to-head

Novak Djokovic vs Reilly Opelka prediction
Djokovic is looking good in the ongoing tournament in Brisbane. He has been at his clinical best in his previous two matches and should feel quite confident ahead of the quarterfinal.
Opelka, meanwhile, is one of the hardest hitters the game has to offer at the moment. He has a powerful serve that can be quite a weapon on hard courts. However, in Djokovic, he will probably face the greatest returner of serves the game has ever seen. It will not be easy for him to win cheap points on serve unless he hits a lot of aces.
The 37-year-old will fancy his chances of winning against the big American by engaging the latter in baseline exchanges. He might want to engage Opelka in crosscourt backhand exchanges to deprive him of an opportunity to dictate terms with his forehand. Considering everything, Opelka might struggle to take a set off the legendary Serb.
Pick - Djokovic wins in straight sets.
