With his exceptional performance on the court, he has won 16 singles titles in his professional career, including five ATP Masters 1000 titles. He won his fifth ATP Masters 1000 title at the 2024 BNP Paribas Open, defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final. Alcaraz became the youngest man in the Open Era to top the singles ranking following his victory at the 2022 US Open.

At the age of 20 years and 262 days after reaching the fourth round of the 2024 Australian Open, he became the fourth-youngest man in Open Era history to reach all four Major quarterfinals. He is a right-handed player who turned pro in 2018.

Alcaraz ended the 2023 season by reaching the semifinals of the 2023 ATP Finals, where World Champion Novak Djokovic defeated him. He played his longest-ever best-of-three-sets ATP Masters final at the 2023 Cincinnati Final. He lost to Djokovic despite having a championship point in the second-set tiebreak. He won his first title on grass at the 2023 Queen Club Championships by defeating Alex de Minaur in the final. Alcaraz prefers to play an all-court game by relying on his forehand short.

Recently, Alcaraz announced that he would skip "a few days" before 2024 Indian Wells due to a lateral sprain of his right ankle. He ended the clay court season by winning his third Grand Slam title at the French Open, beating Alexander Zverev in the final. At the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic to win his fourth major title. He also won the Laver Cup 2024 with Team Europe, and also won the 2024 China Open, defeating Jannik Sinner in the final.
