Shnaider is one of the most improved players on the WTA Tour in the 2024 season. She won her first WTA singles title at the 2024 Thailand Open, where she defeated Zhu Lin in three sets, in the final.

Shnaider was born to father, Maxim and mother, Yulia in Zhigulevsk, Russia on April 2, 2004. Her father is a lawyer and former boxer and her mother is an English teacher.

Shnaider began playing tennis at the age of four. She decided to take tennis seriously when she was eight and began training with coach Samvel Minasyan in Moscow.

Shnaider moved to the United States in 2022 and joined North Carolina State University. She played college tennis for a season there. Shnaider turned professional in May 2023 and made her top 50 debut in May 2024.
