Born on May 18, 2001, in New York City, Emma Navarro began playing tennis at a very young age, and turned pro in 2019. She is the daughter of billionaire businessman Ben Navarro. She won the NCAA Championship in 2021. Navarro has a compact style of play, dominated by her textbook movement across the court and solid groundstrokes. She likes to engage in baseline exchanges, and picks the right moment to go forward and finish the point at the net.

Emma Navarro is a leading lady among the young brigade of American tennis players today. At the young age of 23, she had already won a singles title and made the quarterfinal (in double) at a major. As of January 2025, she is ranked No. 8 by the WTA, her career high. A junior major champion in doubles, Navarro definitely has a bright future ahead.

Navarro registered her best grand slam performance at the 2024 French Open, where she reached the fourth round. She received the WTA Most Improved Player of the Year award after the 2024 season.
