Grigor Dimitrov is a professional tennis player from Bulgaria who was born on May 16, 1991, and turned professional in 2008. In singles, he is the highest-ranked Bulgarian player in history, with the ATP ranking him as high as world No. 3. He achieved the following ranking, following his victory at the season-ending ATP Finals in November 2017—the biggest trophy of his career—he rose in the rankings. As of December 2024, he had won nine singles titles on the ATP Tour, out of 21, losing 12. He has only competed in one doubles event on grass, the 2011 Eastbourne International (ATP 250). He faced Andy Ram and Jonathan Erlich in a partnership with Andreas Seppi.
Dimitrov had a great junior career before becoming pro, winning back-to-back major boys' singles titles at the 2008 US Open and Wimbledon Championships and rising to the top of the global rankings.
