Madison Keys is an American professional tennis player, who achieved her career-high singles ranking of No. 7 in October 2016. In her career so far, she has won nine WTA singles titles, including her biggest title at the 2019 Cincinnati Open.

Keys is a right-handed player who is known for her powerful groundstrokes, especially from the forehand wing. She is an aggressive baseliner, who likes to finish points by hitting forehand and backhand winners from the baseline. She reached the semifinals of the 2024 Eastbourne International, where she lost to Leylah Fernandez. She won her eighth WTA singles title at the 2024 Internationaux De Strasbourg, registering a win against compatriot Danielle Collins.

Keys lifted her ninth WTA singles title at the beginning of 2025 at the Adelaide International Open, defeating Jessica Pegula in the final. She then reached the quarterfinal of the 2025 ASB Classic, losing to Clara Tauson.

At the beginning of the 2025 season, Keys secured a spot in the final round of the Australian Open by defeating Iga Swaitek, Elina Svitolina, Danielle Collins, and Elena Rybakina en route. She won her maiden grand slam title by outlasting two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka in the final. By winning the title at the age of 29, she became the oldest Australian Open women's singles champion in the Open Era. She won a prize money of A$3,500,000 for winning the title.
